Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong problem-solving ability, effective communication skills, and expertise in, Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo, SPM design work, Mech Bom preparation, Material Selection and System study. This role involves rapid response to issues, troubleshooting on-site problems, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in ECE/ EEE
• 3+Years of experience in the design of Special Purpose Machinery.
• Proficient in software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modelling and drafting.
• Strong understanding of Material Science and the ability to make informed material selections.
• Experience in preparing Mechanical Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Familiarity with system study methodologies and the ability to analyze complex engineering systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality design documentation.
Responsibilities:
SPM Design:
• Lead the design and development of Special Purpose Machinery Team, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, assess project feasibility, and propose design concepts.
Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) Preparation:
• Prepare comprehensive Mechanical Bill of Materials for SPM projects, including detailed component specifications and quantities.
Material Selection:
• Utilize expertise in materials science to select appropriate materials for the construction of machinery components, considering factors such as durability, cost, and performance.
System Study:
• Conduct thorough system studies to understand the requirements and constraints of each project.
• Analyze existing systems and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Prototyping and Testing:
• Work closely with the prototyping team to ensure the accurate implementation of design concepts.
• Collaborate in the testing phase, evaluating prototypes for functionality and making necessary adjustments.
Documentation:
• Maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design rationales.
• Ensure that all design documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies within the organization.
