Job Description

The Sales Development Officer is responsible for generating new business opportunities by qualifying leads, initiating conversations with potential customers, and developing relationships to drive sales growth. The SDO will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to customer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation:

   - Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, networking, and referrals.

   - Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads and build a robust sales pipeline.

 

2. Qualifying Leads:

   - Conduct initial outreach to prospective clients via phone calls, emails, and social media.

   - Assess the needs and pain points of potential clients to determine their suitability for the company’s products or services.

   - Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and pass them to the sales team for further engagement.

3. Relationship Building:

   - Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients through regular follow-ups and personalized communication.

   - Provide prospective clients with relevant information about the company’s products or services, addressing their questions and concerns.

4. Collaboration:

   - Collaborate with the marketing team to create and refine lead generation campaigns.

   - Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads and assist in the development of sales strategies.

5. Data Management:

   - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions and activities in the CRM system.

   - Analyze data to identify trends, improve lead generation processes, and inform strategic decisions.

6. Performance Tracking:

   - Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation and conversion rates.

   - Continuously evaluate and improve strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.


Requirements:

Education:  - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

Experience:

  - Proven experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in a B2B environment.

  - Familiarity with CRM software and lead generation tools.

Skills:

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  - Strong analytical and research abilities.

  - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  - Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding goals.

  - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Working Conditions:

- This role typically involves a combination of office work , or outside meetings as well
