The Carpenter Company is seeking a talented Product Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing innovative product designs that align with our brand and market needs. This individual will work closely with our engineering and marketing teams to ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations. The Product Designer will also conduct research on industry trends, materials, and production processes to inform design decisions. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for presenting concepts and receiving feedback. The successful candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to bring creative ideas to life. A bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field is required, along with 3+ years of experience in product design.
Job Description

- Work closely with product development team to create innovative and functional designs for new products
- Collaborate with marketing team to ensure designs meet consumer needs and align with brand image
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed sketches and 3D models of product concepts
- Conduct research on market trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions
- Create prototypes and samples for testing and evaluation
- Make revisions to designs based on feedback from team members and focus groups
- Work with manufacturers to ensure designs are produced efficiently and cost-effectively
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices in product design
- Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track and within budget
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and design reviews to generate new ideas and solutions
