Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Development and maintenance of web applications using PHP and Laravel, ensuring high-quality code and optimal performance.
2. Implement and manage payment gateway integration, including PayPal, Stripe, and other popular payment processors.
3. Collaborate closely with front-end developers and UI/UX designers to ensure a smooth user experience with payment features.
4. Write well-documented, clean, and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
5. Optimise web applications for performance, scalability, and security.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment processing and website functionality.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and document technical requirements.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest web development and payment processing trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in web development with a focus on PHP and Laravel.
- Strong expertise in PHP, Laravel, and related web technologies.
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Proven experience in integrating payment gateways and third-party APIs into web applications.
- Proven experience in WhatsApp integration and webhook placements.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React).
- Strong knowledge of database systems, such as MySQL or similar relational databases.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, CVS, SVN, VSTS, PVCS, etc..
- Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
- In-depth understanding of web security best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Previous experience working with e-commerce platforms and payment processing in an e-commerce context.
3. Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance processes.
4. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
5. Relevant certifications in PHP, Laravel, or web development technologies.
