- Diagnose and treat eye diseases and vision conditions
- Prescribe corrective lenses or eye exercises as needed
- Educate patients on proper eye care and maintenance
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Stay current on new advances in optometry and technology
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in community outreach programs and vision screenings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle a high volume of patients
