JK Collar Jobscart is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for billing and reimbursement purposes. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing medical records, abstracting relevant information, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. The Medical Coder must have a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as a strong knowledge of coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. A minimum of 2 years of previous medical coding experience and certification through AHIMA or AAPC is required.

Job Description

- Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures according to medical records
- Review patient information for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify information
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity
- Collaborate with billing department to ensure accurate reimbursement
- Stay up-to-date on coding changes and updates
- Provide training and guidance to junior coders if needed
- Utilize electronic medical record systems effectively
- Report any coding errors or discrepancies to management promptly

Shift: 9 AM to 4 PM IST
