Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Export Manager with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in export documentation and customs clearance processes. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the export process, including documentation, customs clearance, and shipment coordination.
- Prepare and review export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping instructions, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and expedite customs clearance for outgoing shipments.
- Communicate with internal departments, such as sales, logistics, and production, to ensure timely fulfillment of export orders and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Stay informed about export regulations, trade compliance requirements, and international shipping practices to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Track and monitor export shipments, provide status updates to customers, and address any delays or issues that may impact delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of export transactions, documentation, and shipping activities in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff members involved in export operations, including training and mentoring as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in export operations, and implement best practices to enhance overall productivity and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in export operations, customs clearance, or international logistics.
- Strong understanding of export documentation requirements, including INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in export software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Knowledge of trade compliance regulations, export controls, and international trade agreements is a plus.
