Job Description
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to maximize efficiency and cost savings
- Identify and vet potential suppliers in alignment with company standards and goals
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and terms
- Monitor and analyze market trends to anticipate changes in pricing and availability
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure purchasing needs are met in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
- Resolve any potential issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and professional manner
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and innovations to improve purchasing processes
- Train and mentor junior purchasing staff to ensure departmental success
- Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess and improve purchasing processes.
