Job Description of React Native Senior Developer
A React Native Mobile Developer is a type of software developer who specializes in building mobile applications using the React Native framework. React Native is an open-source mobile application framework created by Facebook that enables developers to use React along with native platform capabilities to build mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms using a single codebase.
Title: React Native Mobile Developer
Job Summary: The React Native Mobile Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing user interface components for JavaScript-based mobile applications using the React Native ecosystem. The developer will work alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain new and existing React Native applications with clean code.
- Implement pixel-perfect UI's that match designs.
- Integrate third-party APIs and data sources.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Troubleshoot issues and bugs and improve application performance.
- Explore and implement new mobile technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code culture.
- Work with native modules when required.
- Effectively use the Redux architecture to manage application state.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Experience with React Native and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the component lifecycle.
- Experience with popular React workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
- Familiarity with native build tools like XCode, Gradle (Android Studio, IntelliJ).
- Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha.
- Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage.
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Proficiency in version control with Git.
- Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Experience with code optimization and performance improvements.
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) native iOS and Android development.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Understanding of the Agile development life-cycle.
