We are looking to hire a talented PHP developer to manage our back-end services and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic. You will also be required to maintain the central database and respond to requests from front-end developers. To ensure success as a PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, understanding of MVC designs, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.

Job Responsibilities

Communication and teamwork
  • Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, and schedules along with technical and process issues
  • Coordinate with co-developers and keep project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serve as liaison between development staff and project manager

Development & Quality
  • Develop, record and maintain cutting-edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms
  • Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team
  • Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
  • Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
  • Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
  • Document the development process, architecture, and standard components

Learning and Upskilling
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
  • In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 PHP Framework
  • Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design
  • Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)
  • MySQL profiling and query optimization
