- Provide care and treatment to patients with kidney diseases and disorders
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and electrolyte imbalances
- Monitor and interpret lab tests and imaging studies related to kidney function
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform procedures such as dialysis catheter placement and kidney biopsies
- Educate patients about kidney health, treatment options, and self-management strategies
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of nephrology
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
- Possess strong communication skills and empathy to build rapport with patients
