Job Description
- Workload Management: Design, implement, and maintain workload management strategies using Mainframe Vantage and WMA tools.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and resource usage, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand workload requirements and optimize performance.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of workload management procedures and automation processes.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for workload-related issues, analyzing problems and proposing effective solutions.
- Training: Mentor and train junior team members on WMA best practices and Mainframe Vantage functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in mainframe environments, specifically with Mainframe Vantage and WMA tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in workload automation and management.
- Familiarity with mainframe operating systems and architecture.
- Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., REXX, JCL).
