Job Description
Key Responsibilities: • Preparation and timely submission of financial statements including an analysis of the performance of the company and the departments therein, including comparison and analysis with the results of the prior month/same month in the previous financial year/year to date with the same period in the previous financial year. • Provide financial advice and support to senior management, including identifying areas for cost savings and revenue generation. • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts. • Manage the company's cash flow and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital expenditure requirements. • Manage the company's investment portfolio and ensure that investments are in line with the company's risk profile and investment strategy and maximising returns on the portfolio. • Ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements including payment of direct & indirect taxes and timely submission of periodical returns. • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulators. • Manage a team of finance professionals and ensure that they are motivated, trained, and developed to perform their roles effectively. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant regulations and standards (Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST & others). • Proficient in the use of financial software and tools, including Microsoft Excel and financial management systems. • Ability to lead and manage a team of finance professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and coaching for performance improvement.
