Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry:
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.
- Maintain and update records of financial transactions.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all entries.
- Accounting:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and summaries.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
- Help in managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve any issues with bank statements.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and balanced.
- Cheque Making:
- Prepare and issue cheques as required.
- Maintain records of issued cheques and manage cheque books.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of cheques.
- Billing:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers.
- Track and manage billing cycles.
- Handle billing inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the finance team.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Handle general office duties as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Experience in retail or fashion industry accounting is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and financial reporting.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
